The Cover Up

Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think, “Who sees us? Who will know?” Isaiah 29:15

One day I was preparing to head to a meeting. Looking at the clock I realized that I took more time lying in the bed than I should have. Glancing in my closet a noticed a clean suit. I took a quick shower and proceeded to get dressed.  That’s when I realized there was problem. I needed a dress shirt and the ones hanging in my closet were wrinkled. Time was now at a premium and I did what I normally do in moments like these. I ironed the collar of my shirt, the cuffs and the part that the tie wouldn’t cover. Suffering the Consequences

We had quite a few friends over for dinner yesterday.

Everyone had a great time or at least that’s what their belly laughing and third helpings led me to believe. We talked and played games for hours (6 hours to be exact!)

The consequence of the festive time was the cleanup. My kitchen looked like a train wreck, my apartment was left disheveled. Even in our effort to use disposable place settings my wife and I could not avoid a mound of dishes. We could complain but that’s the price you pay for having a good time. Snow lessons

After yesterday’s post I was not excited about cleaning off my car this morning. In spite of the work I was reminded of Isaiah 1:18. Every time the snow falls think about this promise.
